VIDEO: Foxy Brown says Firm Reunion is Up To Nas & Cormega

MTV:
"We all sat down and conversed," Foxy told MTV News recently. "We all know if it's not the main four, the only four, it can't be. Nas, myself, AZ and Cormega, that is the Firm. There is no other artist that can substitute for Nas, AZ, Cormega and myself. If all four of us can't do it, it can't be done."

"AZ and myself are inseparable throughout the years. He can walk in my house and go inside the refrigerator, get whatever he wants," she said. "Cormega is like my brother. You know Nas, Nas has gone his way. He got married and has gone through his own stuff. I went to prison, lost my hearing. We all just had our lives take different turns. We realized that everywhere we go, people are like, 'The Firm, the Firm.' A was like, 'We gotta do this.' That's when the rumors started."

During a recent concert in New York, Brown brought out AZ and Cormega. She says that before they all can fully reunite, Nas and Mega have to work things out.

"He and Cormega — everybody knows the legendary beef between them," she assessed. "So, [the challenge is] getting them in the same room together. Nas had a concert at Lincoln Center two Christmases ago. AZ wasn't there, but me and Cormega came out. So they can get in the same room together. And they can kind of alleviate the bullsh-- and say, 'Let's get this money now.'

We're older, let's get this money. "We started as babies," she added. "We were babies, like '96, '97, selling millions of records together. We have history together. I'm the one that's close to each one of them. I'm the link that can bring each one of them together. So it's Nas getting in the same room with Mega. And then we're good. His personal feelings with Mega, they have to work that out. Once they do that ... They have a history that AZ and I can't relate to. There's something they have to work out. I know I can get them together."

NEWS/VIDEO: Foxy Brown Performs Live with the Firm, Spragga Benz, Lil Vicious @ B.B. King's NYC + Photos (7/25/10) "You Can't Keep a Good Bitch Down"

On Sunday night, Foxy Brown did her first live show in two years at New York City's world famous BB King Blues Club. Despite getting arrested earlier this week, Foxy may have managed to get it together and do her thing on stage. So far we have a few clips (& a couple of photos below) with Foxy, AZ Cormega onstage performing "Phone Tap." We also hear she was looking more on the thicker side and her dress was so small, concertgoers were able to see her underwear (with matching nail color! wtf?)... It seems a lot of people really enjoyed the Firm reunion, so maybe we'll get some new material out of this (??).. Speaking of which, she mentions in the video that her 'Black Roses' album will be out later this year. Now updated with footage from rapradar and realtalkny more with lil vicious, the firm, spragga benz and a possible Nicki Minaj diss

Hit the jump the see videos, photos and the Daily News' positive review of Fox Boogs' show.

Props to realtalk ny for the above video. Jabs at Nicki Minaj?? Saying shes the only female rapper "I'm the only rap bitch in the game to fuck with all hip hop, all dancehall. And I'm the only bitch that can do that for real.." (around the 0:35 mark) youtube link

NEWS: Foxy Brown Arrested for Violating Restraining Order, Faces Felony Charges

NY Post:
Time heals nothing for pugnacious rapper Foxy Brown.

The 30-year-old entertainer was busted at 5.40 p.m. today in Brooklyn after a nasty, name-calling run-in with her old nemesis and neighbor Arlene Raymond, sources said.

Brown allegedly snarled at Raymond "What are you looking at — what’s your problem?" sources said.

"They were getting into each other’s face," said one source.

Another source said the B-word got bandied about by the fuming Foxy as the pair squared off at 151 St. Marks in Fort Greene. Neighbors stepped in and held Foxy before any contact was made, according to another source.

Raymond — who has a restraining order against Brown — called cops, and Brown was hauled off to the 77th Precinct for violating the order of protection.

It seems to be a summer thing between Brown and Raymond.

The rapper was previously accused of hitting Raymond with her Blackberry on July 30, 2007, when Raymond complained that Brown was playing her car stereo too loud.

Brown then ran into Raymond a few days later.

"Brown hurled her BlackBerry at her [Raymond], cutting her lip and knocking a tooth loose," authorities reported at the time.

Brown has been released on $50,000 bail. Chaz Williams, her manager, says the charges are false.

VIDEO: Shyheim Talks About Being Young in the Rap Game, Wu Tang and Foxy Brown's Voice

youtube link
Shyheim takes us back to when he first entered the industry and what his experiences were like as a young child in the rap game. He says he was no Bow Wow but came from one of the roughest projects in Staten Island. Shy also talks about his affiliation with Wu Tang and how he will also be a part of the Wu. I did get around to the Foxy Brown questions and asked Shy about the similarities in the voices. Shy didn't hold back with his response and had a lot to say!

NEWS: Lauryn Hill to Perform Complete "Miseducation" Album @ Rock The Bells 2010 x Lil' Kim & Foxy Solo Shows in NYC this Summer

Firstly, let me start off with the huge, out-of-nowhere news provided by the good folks at URB Magazine:
The official press conference isn’t until, but we’re ready to call this one like FOX News. Hip-hop enigma Lauryn Hill will be headlining this year’s Rock The Bells tour. The ex-Fugees songstress will be performing her classic solo album, The Miseduction of Lauryn Hill, as part of a complete album format that has become an increasingly popular way for legendary acts to draw attention to current tours. Also rumored to be performing a full-length at RTB2010 is A Tribe Called Quest. Perhaps they’ll join Ms. Hill in a rendition of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly,” The Fugees’ most infamous hit, which sampled ATCQ’s “Bonita Applebum.”
URB spoke to representative of Rock The Bells who would not confirm…or deny the booking. The official Rock the Bells press conference takes place tonight at The Key Club in West Hollywood.
Info on 2010 RTB dates, venues and full line-up will be available later!

THROWBACK VIDEOS: Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z x Foxy Brown Footage from Showtime at The Apollo

Lauryn Hill performs Jackson 5's "Who's Loving You" in 1989 at age 13 for Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater in NYC. I really respect her for braving through the rocky start because she really pulled it off. I would have ran off stage crying, but she stayed strong and gained the approval by a crowd that was the equivalent of 3,500 Simon Cowells. Watch below. I also ripped the mp3 for anyone that's interested.
