Young Buck May Lose His Name & Other Assets) in Bankruptcy Case! + Signing to Cash Money?? [NEWS]

Tennessean:

A bankruptcy judge’s decision to switch Nashville rapper Young Buck’s case from a reorganization to a liquidation is frustrating the platinum rapper’s attempts to sign with Cash Money Records and end a contract dispute that has stifled his career since 2008.

Judge George C. Paine II signed an order converting the case from Chapter 11 reorganization to Chapter 7 liquidation Wednesday, and Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, stands to lose more than his shirt. The trustee administering his estate has said she plans to sell the trademarked “Young Buck” moniker itself along with other assets.

In an interview Wednesday night, an exasperated Buck, 30, said the conversion is counterproductive because he was close to signing a recording deal with Cash Money Records that would allow him to pay all his debts and exit bankruptcy orderly.

50 Cent Explains LED/Glowstick Outfits at Jay-Z/Eminem Yankee Stadium Concert [VIDEO]

MTV: "It's at ease," 50 said about coming out as Eminem's special guest. The Unit also appeared at Jay and Shady's shows in Detroit at Comerica Park. "I'm at ease. Before it's time for us to go onstage, you're watching a cool 35 minutes of the building being torn apart. You come out, the pressure is not there. The excitement of you coming out in the middle of that, you see the audience. You see the whole thing changes. I knew what kind of event it was. I made my vocations. I had them put lights on us and do different things you probably would only see ... the last time I seen the LED lights was Chris Brown's performance. [We perform in] different styles of clothes. It's not like the suits he had on. Michael Jackson used to do that back in the day. So I just made it more hip-hop and brought that to the actual shows."

"It was crazy, man," Tony Yayo said about his crew's outfits. "Especially when the lights go off. LED lights on the jackets."

"It's fun," 50 chimed back in. "I'mma start doing different things performance-wise. Come outside of the box. Do different things that look like a show. Ninety percent of the time you're watching hip-hop, you see a guy sings a song where ... you can see him in that same outfit another day onstage. We can dress it up from time to time and do different things."

VIDEO: 50 Cent Makes Up with Diddy & Talks About Photo with Jay-Z

50 Cent and G-Unit have been Eminem's special guests for the Home and Home shows, co-headlined by Jay-Z. The Detroit run started Thursday night at Detroit's Comerica Park and concluded Friday (September 3). Sitting down with MTV News before the second show, 50, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo expressed their excitement to be a part of the historic event. On Thursday, the Unit performed "Patiently Waiting," "I Get Money" and "In Da Club." And by the following morning, footage and photos from the show circulated on various websites. But thelifefiles.com caught a very unexpected gem: One of Jay's close friends, Lenny Santiago, snapped a picture of the Jiggaman and Fif talking backstage. The energy in the pic seemed to be positive, and both were smiling.

It was surprising to all hip-hop fans, considering the fact that since last year, Fif has been throwing jabs at Hov in interviews and on songs such as "Flight 187." While Fif declined to say exactly what he and Jay conversed about on Thursday, he did say they didn't have serious beef.

"We got a chance to kick it for a minute," 50 said. "I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z. I take people's actions as if it's genuinely how they feel. I can only use what I saw you do as if that's what you meant. I can't understand what your motivation was prior to that."

Fif has also had some well-documented issues with Diddy. Ever since Diddy aligned himself with Rick Ross several months ago, the General of the G-Unit has publicly lambasted the leader of Dirty Money. But 50 says a recent talk with Diddy helped clear the air between them.

"I had a conversation with Puffy the night before Jay," the Queens mogul revealed. "He gave me a whole new perspective on his actions. He's like, 'I understand the way you felt because of what I was doing at the time. But I wasn't thinking what you was thinking I was. You done hit me nine times. I'm just in the fetal because I understand why you are attacking me. But if I can't touch bases with you to tell you what I'm thinking or why I did it, then you can't understand it.' We created a little clarity out there."

The Home and Home tour continues in the Bronx, New York, on September 13 and 14 at Yankee Stadium.

VIDEO: Tony Yayo talks new album, G-Unit Beefs, Wyclef for Prez, Fat Joe & Acting

MsDramaTV:
Tony Yayo sits down with Ms. Drama to talk about his upcoming album (via EMI) and the digital promotion that G-Unit has been focusing on. Yayo expresses that G-Unit is not about beefs and they haven't made any money off of it. He also talks about the criticism of being on the G-Unit roster and compares the team to the Lakers: Yayo as Derek Fischer, Banks as Lamar Odom, and 50 as the Kobe Bryant of the Hip-Hop game. On the note of Haiti, Yayo expresses his support for Wyclef Jean leading the country. Yayo also talks about artists he's into including some pop acts such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and his artist Danny Brown. When asked if he's a fan of some of the mainstream hits on the radio (e.g. Rick Ross) Yayo expresses he cannot support artists that his "bossman" has issues with and takes a few shots at Fat Joe not selling albums. Yayo finishes the interview with the discussion of his acting career, lessons learned from 50, 50 loosing weight, traveling across the globe.

VIDEO: Lloyd Banks' Announces New Label Deal

MTV Rapfix: "I decided to take my talents to EMI," Lloyd Banks told MTV News' Sway,
putting his own twist on LeBron James' controversial free agency signing announcement.

Banks might not move as much ink (as in newspaper headlines) as the NBA superstar, but he was courted almost as heavily by various labels who were looking to scoop the independent artist.

The G-Unit member said his former recording home, Interscope, and Def Jam were among those aggressively pursuing the Queens MC.

But in the end, Banks said he bypassed both major labels in order to avoid signing a long-term commitment that would require options to deliver multiple albums.

The news was amplified moments after the announcement when a press release was issued trumpeting both Banks and Tony Yayo as EMI signees.

"We are delighted to join forces with G-Unit and artists who are truly marquee names in hip-hop," Mike Harris, executive Vice President/General Manager for EMI Label Services and Caroline Distribution, said in the statement. "G-Unit is a huge force. Lloyd Banks knows how to deliver a lyrical punch and his single has already generated huge anticipation for the album.. Tony Yayo is a totally unique talent, and 'Pass the Patron' already has the hip hop world buzzing about his album coming out next year."
