VEVO (Owned by Sony, UMG, E1) Illegally Streams NFL Game at Event (wtf!) [VIDEO]

VEVO, the video streaming platform created by youtube and major labels Sony, Univeral, Abu Dhabi Media & E1, which was to control the labels' content and curtail piracy, has now committed their own act of copyright infringement! At this year's Sundance festival, they hosted an event where they streamed a NFL game from a known "rogue" site. Guess they are only concerned about their stake in controlling the internet. Seems like they're making their own rules, without concern for the legislation they have been trying to push through to make this practice illegal. Major labels continue to push for prosecution of individuals, while they are seeming to shirk responsibility for their own shady practices... Hope they have a good explanation for this or get reprimanded accordingly! ;) spotted at techdirt
