Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Sneakers release tomorrow!
Now that Yeezy mania is over, it’s officially time for LV-eezy mania to start. We just got official word that Mr. West’s set of Louis Vuitton sneakers are “estimated” to drop tomorrow, July 1, at LV stores around the globe. The Dons, Jaspers, and Mr. Hudson, all named after people belonging to Kanye’s inner circle, will hit the swanky shelves of LV retailers, after the hard release date was kept quiet.-Cofamplex

From the article:"I told Michael that we needed a black rock 'n' roll tune — a black 'My Sharona' — and a begging tune for the album," Jones wrote. "He came back with 'Beat It' and Rod came back with 'The Lady in My Life.' Rod also brought in 'Thriller' and Michael sang his heart out on it. At one point during the session the right speaker burst into flames, which none of us had ever seen before. How's that for a sign?"

My first thoughts were to edit a tribute video from Taydoe TV. When he came up with this brilliant idea, it was only right to collaborate and direct a video to accompany the song. I sent one camera to the hospital, one camera to the house and one camera to the studio to ensure we cover all avenues on this day. During the editing process, the footage was so monumental in the sense that everyone was together and enjoying each other's love for MJ. I enjoyed the process of directing this Tribute video and feel honored to be a part of history.

"We Are the World" and "Heal the World" were undoubtedly two of Michael Jackson's greatest songwriting and humanitarian achievements. But if MJ had been able to cool off the tension between 50 Cent and the Game, as the California rapper claims he attempted to a few years back, then Jackson could have won the Nobel Peace prize. He certainly would have earned it.
Game told MTV News that during his beef with 50, which began in 2005, Jackson actually called the Compton MC and offered to play peacekeeper between the two former friends. -MTV
VIBE Magazine Shutting Down
"Vibe magazine, the urban-music magazine founded in 1993 by Quincy Jones, is the latest victim of the media recession. A source with knowledge of the situation tells DailyFinance that the staff has learned the magazine is ceasing publication, and assistants in the offices of editor in chief Danyel Smith and publisher Edgar Hernandez confirmed the news. No further information was immediately available. Messages left for Smith, Hernandez and Vibe Media CEO Steve Aaron were not immediately returned."Vibe enjoyed significant success in the late '90s and early part of this decade as hip hop and R&B became the nation's predominant forms of pop music. But in recent years the title has fallen on hard times under its new owner, the Wicks Group, which bought it in 2006. The Agenda tradeshow next month will feature Supra’s official unveiling of their latest Skytop model, but it looks like you won’t have to wait. Pictured above (and after the jump) is a sample of the Supra Skytop II. This one is in bright red leather with a white midsole. The Infamous Filipino Inmates Perform another Michael Jackson Dance Tribute! Amazing!
"Michael Jackson's spirit lives on inside a Filipino jail.
"Tourists flocked to the prison in Cebu, south of Manila, Saturday for an elaborate tribute performed by hundreds of inmates in orange prison garb who became an Internet sensation in 2007 for their jailhouse "Thriller" performance.
"The original performance - featuring 1,500 inmates in matching prison uniforms doing Jackson's famous 1982 routine - has been viewed more than 24 million times on YouTube.
"Even as a kid, he was already my idol," said Crisanto Nieri, 38, who danced Jackson's part in 'Thriller' in the performance and is serving seven years on drug charges.
"The original dance began as a exercise routine for the jail birds.
"The inmates dedicated the tribute performance to Jackson's family.
"They also performed 'Ben' and 'We Are the World' for the 700 spectators who watched from a second-floor hallway overlooking the prison yard." -NY Daily News

The timing of Michael Jackson’s death, happening on a Thursday, meant that it would not be covered by the current issues of the weekly and bi-weekly celebrity, entertainment and music magazines for which it would be major news. Rolling Stone magazine’s summer double issue is hitting newsstands on Friday, so to report on Michael Jackson the magazine is planning “a special tribute ‘bookazine,’” said Mark Neschis, a spokesman for the Rolling Stone parent in New York, Wenner Media.
It will be only the second such publication under the Rolling Stone banner, he added, after one devoted to Barack Obama.
The publication devoted to Mr. Jackson will come out on July 10, Mr. Neschis said, with a print run of 450,000 copies. (The Obama bookazine sold 300,000 copies, three times as many as Wenner expected it would, he added.) "The Phoenix Suns have traded Shaquille O'Neal to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, a second-round draft pick and cash, according to a Yahoo! Sports report."The deal, one day before the NBA draft, had been rumored for months. The 37-year-old O'Neal had one year left on his contract with the Suns.

Pittsburgh-based computer maestro Girl Talk (known to the IRS as Gregg Gillis) has turned the cut-and-paste process into a jams-packed jigsaw puzzle. His latest album, Feed the Animals (released digitally in June with hard copies out September 23), brims with 300 song snippets in just over 50 minutes (compared to around 250 in his previous effort). Flight Club NYC Opens 3rd Location - Vintage POLO Collection
This weekend, popular consignment sneaker shop, Flight Club, opened its third New York location, on the border of Soho and Nolita. While Flight Club originally only offered sneaker consignment, the Lafayette location takes the idea one step further by offering a selection of vintage apparel. According men.style.com, most of the apparel “is vintage Polo Ralph Lauren, especially from the early nineties, including Polo Sport, Polo Bear, Polo Tech, and Polo Outdoorsman .
