Blue Chips is an off the cuff, spontaneous project that started as a vibe session one winter afternoon and spiraled into a 17 song dusted journey through the warped comedic minds of Action Bronson and the prodigy producer/artist known simply as Party Supplies.
This journey includes appearances by Roc Marci, Meyhem Lauren and Das Racist and was recorded in the confines of Party Supplies Williamsburg chalet. It's a project as opposed to a mixtape or an album and sits in a nether world somewhere between the two.
Most of all it's a moment in time made in a 3 week period of hanging out at Party Supplies house. In between cheese plates, snaps and spliffs the 2 artists came up with this testament of creativity and spontaneity.
Also, if you're in the NYC area this weekend, catch Party Supplies live at Tammany Hall for L.E.S. Is More..

Hit Squad Reunion Show @ Best Buy Theater (2.24.2012, NYC) [VIDEO/PHOTOS]

Last night The Hit Squad reunited at Best Buy theater and it was definitely a show to remember! EPMD (w.DJ Scratch), Redman, K-Solo, Das EFX & Keith Murray all took turns on stage ready to rock the crowd, plus Method Man made a surprise appearance. Props to toneriggs for basically taping the entire show which you can check out after the jump along with some dope flicks from around the web (my camera was actin up like crazy so I wasn't able to get any good shots :( ) . Shout out to LiveNDirect & Combat Jack for puttin this together!

According to TMZ, Jim Jones got into an unwanted brawl after a stanger punched him in the face. In the video above you see Jim Jones scrapping and trying to escape the drama as things were getting out of hand... There's a lot of chaos going on but shit looks like a mess. To make things worse, Jones was so heated it took 5 cops and mace to subdue him. He was subsequently arrested and released on $40,000 bond later on. Jones later tweeted about the incident and videos of the fight has just surfaced.

The other day I was listening to Howard 101 on Sirius when I heard the 2003 interview between Limp Bizkit leader Fred Durst and Howard Stern. At that point in time, Fred and the band were still commercially successful after a few years on top and were getting ready to put out a new album later that year.. But let me backtrack .. The reason this interview was so compelling at the time was because Fred decided to come on the show and air out Britney Spears, who was still considered semi-innocent at the time.. There were some shocking revelations and this was a pretty hilarious interview as is the usual case with Howard..
