The LA Lakers, NBA Finals champions, took to the streets Los Angeles this morning to celebrate the Championship win with the fans. Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Lamar Odom and Phil Jackson were all part of this amazing float that started in front of the Staples Center.People lined the streets to see the NBA players and their families today on the parade route as it was engulfed in a sea of gold and purple. The parade was suppose to start at 11am. However, the crowd had to wait a few minutes before it started and it finally took off around 11:20am.
As soon as the parade did start, the crowd went wild! The convoy, full of players, staff and the families had the nonstop waving of the fans and energy of the crowd going for about two miles all along the route. Being the crowd was extremely friendly and 12 to 15 people thick in some places, there was little trouble in the streets.
Fans totally thought it was worth the wait for seeing the team on the street. Having the chance to scream a the Champions was an opportunity that people of Los Angeles had the chance to come together (check out the photos of the event.)
The Los Angeles Lakers players get a few weeks off before training for the next season begins. Hopefully, everyone will recover for the insane partying since the NBA Championship win last Friday. -GatherHit the jump for videos courtesy of NBA.com x Fox News
